An old favorite returns to the world of Destiny 2 with the Festival of the Lost as well as some key changes to come in the MMO. Bungie has just released his plans for the shooter for the month of October, including more on the following for Abandoned.
"It's about power, triumphs, exotic or quests, the goal was reached," begins the latest blog post. "Since Cayde-6 experienced its fate in the depths of the Elder Prison, we shared a journey through the discoveries of Abandoned. Week after week, the conversation within the community has been dominated by the revelation of new secrets and new challenges. Some of you lamented the fact that it was difficult to follow, but all of this is still waiting for you. "
In the name of transparency, the Bungie team provided a detailed overview of what will happen in the coming month from the 16th:
- Added the ability to fly over lost areas to see their name once a player looted them
- Players can now follow up to three lawsuits
- Added fire and flood, Zenobia D and Crooked Fang-4fr to the legendary pool – Edge Transit will have company
- Increased Damage to PvE Scout Rifle and Non-Gambit Gambit Enemies
- Fixed a bug where Prime Engrams went straight to the Postmaster at the end of the Crucible matches; they will now appear alongside other end-of-match rewards
- Addition of transmat effects to Collections, in the category Flair
- The monitoring of acquired transmat effects started with the launch of Abandoned September 4; The transmat effects obtained (inventory or post master), used or dismantled after this date will be unlocked in Collections.
- Transmat effects are unlocked when added to the player inventory, NOT when you get ships for which they were pre-nested.
- We have identified a very rare problem where the Gambit invasion portal would not reactivate once used, and we are currently developing a fix.
- We are in the process of developing a patch for a problem where One Thousand Voices can cause a shrill sound when you shoot by shelling or jumping.
On the 30th, there will be even more changes implemented:
- Rebalancing the functionality of the Distribution / Dynamo benefits, forcing players to be close opponents for super-energy benefits
- Slight increase in sword damage in PvE to respond to player comments
- Slight increase in damage caused by the PvE fusion rifle
- Increasing Viability of Malfeasance in PvE and Gambit Activities
- Adjust Titan banner shield visibility, allowing players to more easily see the effects
- Setting exotic rewards to reduce the number of duplicates
- Players can still receive duplicates, but there will be better chances for Abandoned exotic at the reception of exotic awards
- The chance of losing a unique Nightfall reward will increase each time one night is over without a single fall.
- Adding masterwork kernels as rewards for specific "Wanted" bonuses and Scrapper General Bonuses
- Reduce the time required to delete just one material from your inventory
- We are developing a fix for a problem in which a team will defeat the Primal Servant of the Ascendant, but the opposing team will receive a credit for killing it.
The studio has also promised a more detailed update of content removal in the coming weeks, but for the moment, it seems that the Guardians have a lot to expect!
Destiny 2 is now available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
