Last week, the Toyota Supra's parts guide had been leaked online (gallery below) and provided a wealth of photos that provided a wealth of detail on this much anticipated model. . Now a user of the Supra MKV forum has used these images to create a rendering of the future sports coupe. Unless photographs of an un-camouflaged Supra are coming out, it's probably our best possible view on the car until the official unveiling in January at the International Auto Show. North America 2019 in Detroit.
The renderings correspond to what we expect from the Supra on the basis of many snapshots of its development. A low, rounded nose has three entrances to the lower fascia. Each lighthouse has six LEDs and the images show up to now that they are standard on all versions. The cutouts behind the front fenders add a sporty touch to the design of the front. Two bubbles in the roof bring a touch inspired by motorsport. A large hatch flushes to the rear and a duck tail fin is integrated at the rear.
Inside, the Supra benefits from a little technology. A digital dashboard appears to be standard and the parts guide indicates four levels of power seat adjustment available. Although they are not visible in the rendering, the spy views (on the right below) show that a large infotainment screen is placed at the top of the central stack. A lot of the switches below seem to come directly from BMW, because of the German partnership on the project.
The parts list also revealed the engine range of the Supra. A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder will come in base trim 20i. A more powerful version of this engine will be in the 30i. To complete the lineup at launch, there will be a six-cylinder turbocharged 3.0-liter line. All of these power plants will connect to an automatic gearbox that will likely be an eight-speed unit.
