The beloved creatures of & quot; Last Jedi & # 39; anchor the latest ILMxLAB project.
For those who watched last year Star Wars: The Last Jedi and left the feeling that, all things considered, porg farming was the career opportunity the world really needs, good news: Lucasfilm's ILMxLAB has created a whole new virtual reality experience for you.
Announcement at Magic Leap's L.E.A.P. Conference Wednesday, Star Wars: Project Porg allows users to discover how endeared they are to raising delightfully cute creatures resembling Achch-To birds, thus offering the chance, in Lucasfilm's words, to "give them treats, play with them and you teach them how to handle real environments with the C-3PO Care Instructions itself. "
The game will be available as a free download for the Magic Leap One headset in December, with Anthony Daniels returning to resume his role as C-3PO for the project. The ILM animation supervisor, Paul Kavanagh, is responsible for the porgs of the game.
Project Porg is the second virtual reality project announced by Lucasfilm and ILMxLAB last month, after the revelation of Vader Immortal at the end of September.
