Need a hand?

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a gigantic and sprawling RPG that is packed with new features to learn and master. Start your odyssey on the right foot by consulting our basic guide.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is full of places to go and people who want to kill you. Fortunately, it has a pretty deep and flexible armor system that offers you many ways to mix your style with a cool old fashion world. However, there are many options, and this is where our Assassin's Armor Guide's Creed Odyssey comes in.

Like its weapons, Odyssey offers many styles of armor of different levels of quality. Any armor can also be engraved, which gives you bonuses of skills or statistics: the more the armor is rare, the more it can contain engravings simultaneously. At the top of the stack are legendary armor sets, special variations of existing armor styles that add extra bonuses to wearing all five pieces at once.

However, much of Odyssey is looking for radical solutions and this is where the Odyssey upgrade system really saves fashion. If you have a favorite helmet or a complete outfit, you can spend money and resources at a blacksmith to outclass him up to level 50.

One last thing: there is not really any better armor in Odyssey. Depending on how you play, it may be interesting to have a lower level armor offering a useful bonus that enhances your playing style.

Statistics

Each piece of equipment you find in Assassin's Creed Odyssey has three main stats that you should pay attention to. They are level, scarcity, and the main stat

  • Like your character, the material has a level this indicates its overall strength. You always want to try to upgrade or use equipment close to your level.
  • Scarcity determines the number of strokes that a piece of equipment can have. As in most RPGs, scarcity ranges from common (white) to rare (blue), epic (purple) and legendary (orange).
  • For armor, the main stat is, well, armor. This determines how much damage is mitigated by enemy attacks. For weapons, this statistic is expressed in DPS or damage per second and determines the amount of your attacks.

engravings

Once you have unlocked an engraving, you can use it as many times as you want.

Engravings are a type of object that you gain by completing various achievements in the game, completing quests, acquiring legendary equipment and killing some enemies. Each of them offers a kind of buff, like increasing your assassination damage or making all the arrows of the poisoned arrows. There are many of them and they have different levels of power with legendary engravings offering extremely powerful bonuses that increase certain skills.

By playing the game, you will begin to accumulate a large amount of prints that you can then use to add improvements to your armor. The most important thing to remember is that once you have unlocked an engraving, you can use it as many times as you like and always edit the etchings you have added to a piece of art. ;equipment. Experiment and find the right combinations for you.

Regular armor

The best defense

What good is a shining armor if you do not have a weapon to kill the bad guys who attack you? Our guide to weapons and skills of Assassin's Creed Odyssey describes each type of weapon and the skills that complement them best.

Regular armor is randomly generated with a random rarity rating and a selection of prints. There is no rhyme or reason in the prints: I found thick plate armor with assassination damage bonuses and fragile cloth dresses with bonuses to warrior skills. Although you can not edit or delete these inherent prints, you can still add others and edit the ones you add.

These types of weave do not offer any bonus for wearing a full set, but they look good when worn together. You can spot armor by name: Traveler Armor, Tracker Armor, Athenian Armor, Spartan Armor, Brawler Armor, and so on.

All of these non-legendary armor appear regularly in drops of loot, so keep an eye out for one of those rare armors offering plenty of room for engravings. As you can still improve the level, good equipment with a 10% bonus can remain a 10% bonus from level 5 to level 50.

If you get a piece of armor that you do not want, you can sell it or dismantle it. Drachmae is not out of stock in Odyssey, so we recommend disassembling anything you do not want (except for the legendary parts) to always have enough materials for the upgrade.

Legendary armor

Spoiler warning: This following section contains light spoilers for the Odyssey story.

Unlike other types of armor, the legendary armor is unique. It can not be dismantled for parts or sold, so each piece becomes by default a collector's item. The legendary armor has plenty of room for many prints and it is also accompanied by an overall bonus, an extra bonus that you get if you wear it all.

For the most part, the legendary armor comes from a few side quests and mainly from hunting the various branches of the Kosmos cult. Each member you kill will assign a specific piece of an armor set, but as many cultists exceed level 40, it will take you some time before completing a complete set and unlocking their powerful bonus.

All you need to know is that when you complete a set of legendary armor, all the pieces you have collected are upgraded to the level of the last piece found in the set. So, do not waste precious materials to improve parts that you will not use until you have recovered the full game.

Without revealing who, what and why you are going to kill people to collect legendary armor sets, I've listed the names of the costumes I've found and the bonuses that come with it. When you get to the point where you can start searching for them, this list will give you an idea of the sets you want to search for.
