Amazon Alexa will have a new "nice" Orwellian feature that will allow Amazon Alexa to spy on sick and vulnerable people in their own homes and try to sell them snakeskin-based products often from China to heal them. This news comes just days after the revelation that the Chinese government has implanted microchips in millions of Amazon, Google and Apple products to help them spy on people around the world.
According to the new patent issued to Amazon on Tuesday titled "Voice Determination of the Physical and Emotional Characteristics of Users", Amazon will declare "A cough, a sniffle or a crying may indicate that the user has a specific physical or emotional abnormality" and then send "highly targeted" ads that they believe will help combat the disease of users. Alexa will also listen to sounds of distress or anxiety, then try to sell them a new album … Instead of suggesting to the person to go see her doctor for a proper diagnosis, Amazon simply sees this as a way to earn even more money.
