Red Dead Redemption 2 received an official file size list on the Xbox Live Store confirming that it requires 89 GB of disk space.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a huge open world game from Rockstar Games. When it was announced that the game would be launched with a PS4 Pro set, the dialog box confirmed that the total file size required is greater than 100GB. This caused a frenzy because it would make Red Dead Redemption 2 the largest game to be shipped on the first day with such file size requirements.
Later, an alleged leaker allegedly suggested that the file size was only 50 GB. However, this is a rumor for the moment. Do not take it for confirmation. Anyway, the size of the official file seems to be closer to 100 GB, as confirmed by the Xbox Live Store list. It lists about 89 GB for the file size and this list is usually accurate for most games.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will offer 4K support for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. So it's possible that this file size is for upgraded consoles, which means it could include 4K textures. It is unlikely but not totally impossible to think that this will be the case. The normal version of the PS4 and Xbox One will probably be smaller if that happens to be the case.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on October 26th. The trophies list for the game would have been leaked online, while the beta version of Red Dead Online would be confirmed by the end of November.
