The new Mazda 3 was announced before its official unveiling, with the Japanese brand posting a brief clip announcing what it calls a "new era" for its most popular model.
Mazda announced that the new car would be unveiled in November and that, although they have not yet confirmed where exactly, it was possible to bet the garage for three cars on the blankets in the process. to be unveiled at the premieres of the LA Motor Show, which begin at the end of this month.
Forget the bigger 6, in real terms, the 3 is the true flagship of Mazda, easily surpassing all the rest of its range in Australia – nearly 25,000 units have been sold here so far this year. As such, expect the fourth-generation model to debut with a new engine and new technology that has not been seen elsewhere in the lineup.
We already know that the new 3 will feature Mazda's award-winning (and very clever) SkyActiv-X gas-powered gasoline engine, which uses diesel compression and a compressor to reduce fuel consumption by 30%, while couple between 10 and 30%.
Other details are so far secret, but for a hint of style, look no further than Mazda's concept car revealed in 2017.
