Ford's new snake came out of his hole.
Photos of the future Mustang Shelby GT500 2020 muscle car taken surreptitiously at a private event with Ford dealerships in Las Vegas were posted on Instagram Thursday and offer the best look at what should be the most powerful Ford ever designed.

The car is not expected to debut in public until January, and Ford only showed shaded and oblique views, including an aerial view. The details of the powertrain have not been revealed, apart from the confirmation that it will have more than 700 hp.

According to another leak of the Las Vegas event posted on the Mustang6G.com fans forum, the final figure will be closer to 790 hp and the power will reach the rear wheels via a manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission . A supercharged V8 whose displacement is unknown should be placed under the curved and ventilated hood.
Participants were banned from using cameras during the event. We do not know how a person could have approached the scene with one, but it is possible that it takes during a rehearsal.
Perhaps more interesting yet, MustangG6.com also learned that a four-door version of the Mustang had been confirmed for the next generation, expected by 2022, and that it would be powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 competitor of the Porsche Panamera and the Audi A7.
