The problem – which also affected Pixel 2 and 2 XL devices, according to a Reddit thread – occurs when a user takes a photo with Google Camera and switches to another application or locks the handset immediately afterwards. Google explains that the Titan M is integrated with the boot verification process, which prevents malicious attacks from moving your device to an outdated version of Android that is trying to unlock the boot loader. It also secures the lock screen and it is only after a successful check that the Titan M will allow decryption. Titan M is also used to secure transactions in third-party applications.
In the case of third-party applications, Titan M, applications can now leverage StrongBox KeyStore APIs to generate and store private keys in Titan M.

The espionage shots (below), taken on Canada's public transit system, confirm that Android Pie's flagship product will feature a deep X-type iPhone, which apparently hosts two front-facing cameras. It remains to be determined whether they will be used to provide face ID authentication, or simply an optimized portrait mode with a bokeh effect.
A picture from the back of the camera does not tell us much, but seems to show a single-lens rear camera and a curved glass back. The two-color design of Google should also remain, despite previous rumors that suggested a uniform color scheme.
08/13/18: A practical video posted prematurely revealed that the Google Pixel 3 XL will feature a Note 9 screen with 6.7 inches.
The four-minute video (below), published by the Ukrainian blogger & # 39; iVenyaWay & # 39;, gives us a glimpse of a powered Pixel 3 XL working for the first time. And despite previous rumors that the smartphone would have a modest 6.2-inch screen, it shows us that the phone will display a 6.7-inch OLED screen, comparable to that of Note 9.
Unlike Note 9, the Pixel 3 XL will have a thick notch to house its two front cameras and a considerable chin under the display. It will also feature a 12.2-megapixel single-lens camera in 2015 at the back, while the Note 9 features a two-camera, 12-megapixel system upgraded.
Elsewhere, this complete leak confirms, if any, that the Pixel 3 XL will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 3,430mAh battery and a single USB-C port. Naturally, it will also work under Android 9.0 Pie and the video presents Google's new navigation moves.
08/08/18: The unveiling of the Pixel 3 range of Google is probably still in a few months, but this has not prevented that images of production equipment Pixel 3 XL "finalized" appear online.
Images (below) who come via the Russian blogger Канал Лучкова, confirm much of what we already know, showing the chunky notch of the Pixel 3s, its single-lens back camera and its new uniform color scheme, with Google removing its usual two-color design .
A quick look at the Phone Settings menu confirms that the Pixel 3 XL works naturally with Android 9 and incorporates an 8-core Qualcomm processor (probably the Snapdragon 845), coupled with a meager 4GB RAM and a GPU Adreno. The image also confirms the screen resolution of the handset of 1440×2960 and the pixel density of 494.
The leak also contains an image of what looks like a USB-C headset provided (above), confirmed previous rumors that Google was preparing a hardwired version of its Pixel Bud earphones.
08/06/18: The release date of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL has been released, thanks to, among others, Google.
The YouTube channel This is Tech Today spotted an ad on Famebit, allegedly made by Google, which is looking, bah, influencers and content creators to cover the next launch of Pixel 3. The ad confirms the launch date of the smartphone on October 4 – the date on which Pixel 2 and the first-generation Pixel debuted.
The slide of Google arrives a few days after the specifications of the Pixel 3 XL appeared on Geekbench, confirming that the smartphone will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with a meager 4GB RAM. Still, the single-core smartphone score of 2426 and multicore score of 8355 are significantly higher than those of Pixel 2 XL Last year, who posted the 1845 and 6185 scores.
07/30/18: Google Pixel 3 XL has been unveiled in its clearest flight to date, confirming its 'Clearly White' color variant and iPhone X-style screen cut.
Dr.guru, a user of the XDA Developer Forum, claims to have gotten his hands on a Google Pixel 3 XL, the largest of the two flagship handsets that Google is expected to launch later this year.
The legitimate images, meant to show the Pixel 3 XL's "Clearly White" color variant, corroborate rumors that the smartphone will have a notch on the front to accommodate two front speakers. There will also be a large chin on the bottom of the phone, supposed to house the front speaker of the Pixel.
Images from the back of the camera confirm that Google will remove its two-color effect design, but plans to stick to a single-lens rear camera, despite the fact that the latest modern smartphone in has at least two.
And based on the handset's Fastboot display, the Pixel 3 XL will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. According to dr.guru, the supposed Pixel XL 3 can not restart because it was "deleted remotely by Google".
06/29/18: If you want to be surprised when Google unveils Pixels 3 and 3 XL later this year, you may want to look away now.
New renditions of the Android P duo, based on CAD files from the factory and shared by MySmartPrice on behalf of a leak manager @OnLeaks, display Pixels 3 and 3 XL from every angle and reinforce much of what we've already seen: glass backs, single-lens cameras and the typical two-color design of Google.
The Pixel 3 XL will have a thick chin and an iPhone-style crest, though smaller than Apple's flagship. This will be located at the top of the 6.2in handset screen, which MySpartPrice speculation will boast of a 19: 9 image format.
The Google Pixel 3, smaller, does not have a notch and stays in place of the edges above and below its 5.4 inch 18: 9 display format, although They look significantly smaller than those of Pixel 2 from last year.
Both cameras will carry somewhat dated single-lens cameras at the rear, and appear to carry two sensors at the front (although MySmartPrice note that the second module could be an ambient light sensor).
In terms of physical dimensions, the Pixel 3 will measure 145.6×68.2×7.9mm, while the Pixel 3 XL will measure 158×76.6×7.9mm. However, both smartphones will have a thickness of 8.6 mm when the hump of the rear camera will be taken into account.
The 5K renderings reveal nothing but the confirmation of the USB-C port and the handset SIM card tray, but MySmartPrice note that we can also expect Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor to power both devices.
The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are expected to make their official debut, unsurprisingly, in October.
08/06/18: the Google Pixel 3 XL was photographed in the wild, confirming that, uh, it's not so exciting.
Images (below), which are courtesy of meraz9000, a member of XDA Developers, show that Google's flagship product, Android P, will follow the trend of notch, with a thick X-style cutout for iPhone, located at the top of his screen. This corroborates a recent report by Bloomberg (below), who claimed that even though the Pixel 3 XL will present a notch, its smaller Pixel 3 will not receive the same treatment.
User XDA also confirmed that the Pixel 3 XL would have a glass bottom, suggesting that it could support wireless charging – although this is not the case for the OnePlus 6 or the Moto Z3 Play.
Elsewhere, things are rather mundane. Expect the Pixel 3 XL, due to arrive in October, features a single-lens salient rear-facing camera, a USB-C port and a 3-pin headphone jack , 5 mm.
05/31/18: Just a few days after having a first glimpse of pixels 3 and 3 XL of Google, Bloomberg reports that the handsets will make their official debut in October.
The report, which received its information from the usual "regulars", says that, as one might expect, the larger XL 3L will feature an almost edge-to-edge display with a notch at the top. This cutout will not be as wide as that of the iPhone X, but Bloomberg claims that it will be bigger.
The Pixel 3, meanwhile, will not be very different from last year's Pixel 2 and will not include the notch or edge-on-board design of the larger, arguably the most expensive model.
Both Android P smartphones are equipped with two front cameras, similar to those of the HTC U12 Plus. According to the report, Google will use single-lens cameras at the back, but these will be supposed to support Bokeh effects similar to those of cameras thanks to the optimized software.
With Google's borrowing features of HTC's latest flagship product, it will probably not be surprising to learn that the engineering talent that the company has acquired from HTC earlier this year will be heavily involved in the development of new devices. The report notes that Google would be in talks with Foxconn to handle the assembly.
While this is not the juiciest leak, Ice Universe claims separately that LG Display will provide OLED panels with notches to Google. This might surprise some, while LG has faced many criticisms regarding the OLED display in the Pixel 2 XL from last year, users complaining about a blue hue, colors muddy and grainy images.
The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be released in October, according to Bloomberg, and will be exclusive to Verizon in the United States.
05/29/18: We still have a few months left before Google's next generation Pixel smartphones become official, but the details of Android P smartphones have already begun to surface.
Our first speculative treat is provided by a pair of so called tempered glass screen protectors. Images of the official-looking props have been published on Weibo, via SlashLeaks, and show that Google will be the next Android OEM to adopt an X-style slot for iPhone.
While the presence of a display screen is not surprising considering the native support of Android P, the leak suggests that only one of the smartphones Pixel 3, the largest pixel 3 XL, in will sport one.
And the image – which has since been removed from Weibo – shows that the notch of the Pixel 3 XL will be considerably less intrusive than some, and a size similar to that found on the OnePlus 6.
Shaded images will not bring you much, although the 3 and 3 XL pixels also appear to have cutouts for the ambient light sensor and the front camera. It is possible that Google, like HTC, plans to install two front-end cameras on these devices, given the number of cuts present, but it is more likely that it's a problem. other sensor.
Although we know little about Google's incoming smartphones, we know that they will likely make their debut alongside a Pixel trio brand smartwatches.
Under the code names "Ling", "Sardine" and "Triton", smartwatches must include "at least" 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth with apt-X, GPS and LTE with support for Voice over LTE (VoLTE) , which means Apple Watch, Pixel smartwatches will also be able to make calls without being paired with a smartphone.
Health will also be the focus, with smart watches configured to provide step tracking and an integrated heart rate monitor.
Not surprisingly, the trio of smartwatches will be based on the Qualcomm Wear OS chip, which reports claims will come under the name of Snapdragon Wear 3100. According to the report, this quad-core chip will keep the same 28-nm process as Snapdragon Wear 2100 and will use the old ARM Cortex-A7 architecture and the Adreno 304 GPU.
