The V-6 will distinguish the Maxima now that the Altima has switched to a turbocharged four-cylinder engine as an evolutionary engine. It is possible that Nissan will add an all-wheel drive option to the Maxima lineup to match the Altima, which now offers this transmission with its 2.5-liter four-cylinder base engine.
