It turns out that Meltan, adorable little mythical Pokémon exclusive to Pokemon Go, has an evolutionary form. The latest video of the Professor Oak / Professor Willow saga, published in anticipation of Pokémon: Let's go!, presents Melmetal – the first legendary Pokémon evolution of the franchise.
Unlike Meltan, which measures only eight inches tall, Melmetal is over eight feet tall. He also weighs nearly 2,000 pounds – which, in the clip, scares Oak and Willow, who are not ready to transfer something as big between the Pokemon Go and Pokémon: Let's go! universe.
The Pokémon tradition is that Melmetal is an ancient Pokémon that has not been seen for more than 3,000 years. Like Meltan, he is called the Pokémon Hex Nut, although he is much less cute than his pre-evolution.
The Pokemon company explained how to transform a Meltan into a Melmetal, which we have included below. note that Melmetal is another Pokemon Go-exclusive, although it may transfer on Let's go!.
The evolution of the mythical Pokémon Meltan in Melmetal can only occur in Pokémon GO and requires 400 Meltan candies. Like candies that can be collected for other Pokémon, players can get Meltan candies by catching Meltan (after opening a mystery box) and sending it to Professor Willow or while walking with Meltan selected as Pokemon Buddy. Fans can also get Meltan candies by sending this Pokémon GO Pokémon to Pokémon: Let's go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let's go, Eevee! video games.
