Epic has detailed the contents of Fortnite Update 6.20, as well as the release notes, which are quite large. The jackpot of today 's update is the launch of "Fortnitemares," the Halloween – themed event of the game. This coincides with the release of new skins and new challenges. for Halloween, as well as the transformation of the rocket launcher as a Pumpkin rocket launcher.[[[[Update: After being disabled for technical reasons, Fortnitemares is back online.]
"Explore all the treats, exciting appearances and new looks," said Epic Games about the event. "During Fortnitemares, you'll face Cube Monsters in a totally new way to play Battle Royale, and new weapons will help you fight these frightening creatures like the Six Shooter and the Fender Hunter Crossbow.
"Remove fragments and cube fragments to recover loot and survive against enemy players." It is interesting to note that Fortnitemares seems to erase the border between the Battle Royale and Save The World modes by giving players zombie-like enemies.
The other major additions to Fortnite's Battle Royale mode are the Six Shooter, a new weapon. This uses medium ammo and can be pulled more quickly from the hip, or more slowly (with extra precision) by aiming down. The Fiend Hunter's Crossbow mentioned above is a time-limited object related to the event.
The novelty of Battle Royale is the ability to redeploy gliders. Epic said that he was currently testing this feature in all Battle Royale game modes, but only for a limited time. In Playground, there is a new pirate ship mini-game as well as "other fun additions" as well as modifications made to the Spiky stadium. Take a look at the Fortnite Update 6.20 update notes below, courtesy of Epic.
Season 6 of Fortnite was rather dark and phantasmagorical thanks to the theme "Darkness Rises". For this reason, many new skins and cosmetics are quite terrifying, like the skin of Dire Wolf that evolves as you progress. For more Halloween events in video games, check out our Halloween trick tour.
