Capcom announced today that Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 0 will arrive on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019.
Resident Evil is a huge franchise, with a series of horror acts selling over 84 million games worldwide. Capcom supports the latest Nintendo console with some of its biggest franchises, including Mega Man and Monster Hunter, and Resident Evil is now targeting the console / laptop hybrid.
This will be the remake version of the first Resident Evil. The original was released in 1996 on PlayStation, while the remake debuted on the Nintendo GameCube in 2002. Resident Evil 0, a precedent, also came out for the same year. Both games have had recent remasters for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Resident Evil 4 made its debut on the GameCube in 2005. It has moved away from the survival and horror roots of its predecessors to focus more on action. Resident Evil 4 is a flagship game that has established conventions for many third-person shooters, including the use of a camera over the shoulder.
Capcom is also working on a remake of Resident Evil 2, which will be released January 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. This game does not come out for Switch.
