In short: In late September, Google announced the addition of new features to its main search product, including a renamed version of the Google feed, called Discover. Now, it is deployed on mobile devices in the United States on Android and iOS.
By loading Google's homepage on mobile devices (google.com), a map stream appears under the search box, as do Google's Android and iOS apps. Most maps are related to news, entertainment and sports and are customized with the help of search history and your preferences. Each includes the name of the article, a brief excerpt, a cover image, the date of publication and the site of origin.
Each card has a heading header next to the Discover a Star icon, which brings up the related items when they are selected. You can also use the menu in the upper right corner to delete it, confirm that the topic does not interest you, or block it again in the discovery feed. An option located in the lower right corner of the map allows you to choose whether you want to see more or less a particular subject.
Another new search feature, Google Lens, which allows you to scan sections of images and use them for new search, was also deployed last week.
The discovery feed is available on any Android or iOS device and displays on any mobile browser, including Safari and Chrome. It is unclear when it will reach those outside the United States, but it should expand overseas as soon as possible.
