The gaming PCs at Walmart are surprisingly good

First of all, laptops. The entry-level machine from Walmart is the "OP Gaming Laptop 15", comes with a 15.6-inch display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a Core i5-8300H processor, 8 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTZ 1050 graphics processor. In terms of storage, it offers a 128GB SSD drive with a 1TB hard drive. Not bad for $ 999.

The next release is a "Plus" version that incorporates the specifications of a Core i7-8750H processor with 16MB of RAM, a 6GB GeForce GTX 1060 GPU and an SSD drive. 256 GB paired with a hard drive of 1 TB. This one is on sale for 1399 $. Then there is a 17-inch version with the same processor and the same graphics processor, but with 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB hard drive next to the SSD 256 drive, hence its higher price of 1 $ 699. All laptops come with a mechanical keyboard with RGB lighting, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C port and a USB 2.0 port.

Walmart did not give much details about its office offers, but we know the three models – DTW1, DTW2 and DTW3 – come with a Core i7-8700 processor and, respectively, a GeForce GTX 1070 GPU, a GeForce GTX 1080 and a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. More details and pricing details on the desktop models will be announced in due course, although some reports suggest that the mid-range model will cost around $ 1,899. A good price for a high specification kit that you would not expect to find at Walmart.
