It's Halloween and that means it's time to tell a scary story. This one involves the scariest monster of all time: the video game publisher Konami. On a dark and stormy night of 2015, Metal Gear Solid Company released its free horror game, P.T. (Playable Teaser) on the PlayStation Network. And since then, the publisher has been hidden in the shadow while waiting for a chance to kill the game for good.
And today, rumors began to spread that this sinister force had finally hit. But that does not seem to be the case.
P.T. is a teaser for Silent Hills, a sequel to the horror of the Silent Hill franchise. Konami canceled Silent Hills as part of a video game console retreat. But his legacy has survived in the systems of anyone who downloaded P.T. before the publisher removed it from the store. While Konami launched P.T. As a glorified game ad, many people view it as a thrilling horror experience.
But when someone on Reddit tried to start the game for Halloween, it would not work. In the information section, they found that he was "ineligible" to start. And, worryingly, the system stated that an update of the game had been updated on October 22, 2018. People had come to the conclusion that Konami had to release a patch to end the game permanently.
Since that initial fear, however, other people have successfully started P.T. It seems like it still works for just about everyone. Sony recently launched this feature which warned gamers that it might break some games.
