The arrival of foldable phones is not interrupted, whether you like it or not (and some not) and whether they have a meaning or not (and others really). That said, the Korean manufacturer will not encounter any problem if the details of this so-called series of Galaxy F phones are what they claim to be.
The name and trademark of Galaxy F were mentioned some time ago and, given the letter "F", it was immediately associated with a foldable phone. Of course, this could also be used for something else, since Samsung's naming schemes do not always make sense. Samsung would always have a gaming phone in preparation, so it's also a possibility.
SamMobile's data, however, seems to be more about a series of foldable phones. He was able to get the model numbers SM-F900U, SM-F900N and SM-F900F, which could allude to a lot of things. On the one hand, the suffixes could mean that it will also be available internationally.
The "900" part of the model number also indicates that this will be part of Samsung's high-end 2018 range. The Galaxy S9 is the SM-G960, while the Galaxy Note 9 is the SM-N960. This first Galaxy F smartphone should have 512 GB of storage and, perhaps only in some markets, support the dual SIM card. This also suggests that the phone will cost a lot, which should not be surprising.
Specific firmware, version number F900USQU0ARJ5, would have been tested in the United States and would have been developed primarily in the country. This would give credit to previous reports that Samsung would have worked closely with Google to develop a customized version of Android specifically for this unconventional Android device.
The appearance of the Royal FlexiPai has definitely strengthened the hype of folding phones. And it's not just Samsung. Besides Huawei and Lenovo, LG would also play this game with a foldable phone to be revealed at CES 2019 in two months.
