The Motorola One smartphone, the Motorola One, will be officially available soon in the US for $ 399 unlocked. The black variant can be ordered online from 9 November, while the white variant is available in stores from 11 November.
Sharing a look very similar to that of Apple's iPhone X, the notched display measures 5.9 inches. Under the hood, you'll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 64GB expandable microSD storage, 4GB RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
There is a headphone port, but despite the return of the glass, you will not be able to rely on the wireless charging of the 3000 mAh battery. We hope that this ability will be more than enough to pull the internal modest and basically store the Android experience. That said, the device includes what Motorola calls a "turbopower" charge, which claims to provide 6 hours of battery life in just 20 minutes.
Just like the Nokia 7.1 – which we have rented in our comprehensive review – even with smaller specifications, the experience on this device should be top notch. Android One means that the Motorola One has security updates guaranteed for three years, which means that it should receive both Android 9.0 Pie and finally Android Q.
Fortunately, Motorola knows very well keeping things flat with the operating system changes and has a penchant for customizing the ROM. Nokia also has this philosophy with its range of devices, with the Motorola One for Finnish smartphones manufacturers with this device. Unfortunately, the device is only GSM, which means that Verizon or Sprint users are not supported.
It will be interesting to see how this device will position itself with the planned release of the Motorola Moto G7 in the coming months. In terms of availability, the device is exclusive to Best Buy for the foreseeable future, with black and white variants available for $ 399.
