Fans of Nintendo Switch may be surprised by a big surprise this week, while a long-awaited feature finally reaches the console.

New reports suggest that the YouTube app could have a release date on Nintendo Switch.

NintendHome (via Resetera) spotted the YouTube app in the suggested apps section of the Nintendo North America website.

If you believe the list, the YouTube application will debut on Nintendo Switch November 8.

The release of shock has not been confirmed yet, but all indications are that streaming on YouTube is expected by the end of the week.

The launch of a YouTube application would probably be followed by Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime Video.

Interestingly, Netflix had previously claimed to have not intend to release the application on Switch, before coming back later and saying that she was exploring this opportunity.

Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime gave hope to fans earlier this year, informing Switch owners that other services will arrive on time.

"For this type of question, we need to refer to Netflix people," he said.

"What we said when we launched Nintendo Switch was that we wanted to have a first gaming platform and that's what we created. And that's what has allowed us, in the first 12 months in the US, to be the best-selling console in the history of video games. "

"At the moment, we are activating Hulu on the platform, we said that other services will arrive on time," he said.

"For us, we want to make sure that continue to pilot the installation base for Nintendo Switch, continues to offer excellent games for the platform.

"When it comes to the next stage of streaming, you will have to talk to these individual providers to find out where they are and what they are working on."

Streaming apps are almost sure to appear soon, especially because of the popularity of the Nintendo switch.
