The new generation of Samsung Galaxy smartphones seems to be going backwards, not forwards, with powerful user features. In favor of innovation and change of custody, so to speak, Samsung seems to be moving away from the features that Galaxy owners have been using for more than five years. I'm talking here, of course, about the headphone jack and the idea that Samsung could remove this feature in 2019.
Samsung suggested that they were all about to introduce new features and innovative technology with mid-range phones before the heroes and flagship titles from 2019. This comment came from the head of Samsung Mobile in September 2018. What they did not mention implicitly was the cost.
"Before, I brought new technology and differentiation to the flagship model, and then I turned to the midrange," said DJ Koh, CEO of Samsung Mobile Communications. "But I've changed my strategy from this year on to bring technology and differentiation points from the mid-range."
It may be that this forward-thinking strategy reveals the absence of a tap on a smaller phone first. According to Bloomberg, Samsung has at least one prototype Samsung Galaxy S10 without headphone jack. It could also be that Samsung is providing the headphone jack on its less than three Galaxy S10 phones and not the other more colorful models, as well as a flat screen instead of Infinity Display curves.
