A Microsoft patent on a surface device with a rear touch screen

While Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Pro 6 from Microsoft may have been launched last month, recently discovered patents for a new Surface device apparently named "Reflective Display," code-named "Reflective Display," are online. . If one believes the patents, it will probably be a Surface with not one, but two integrated screens.

PUBLICITY

The patent images were discovered at the USPTO (Patent and Trademark Office) and were reported for the first time by the Windows-based website, Windows Latest. Technically speaking, all Microsoft surface devices are 2-in-1 devices, but what sets this device apart is the illustration of a "metal surface device" on the back of the notebook tablet.

Microsoft claims that the new surface (no pun intended) provides a "reflective multilayer structure that serves as an additional or primary display for an electronic device". The mark adds that the additional display "forms an outer surface of the electronic device" and that it includes a "light emitter display" separated from the outer surface.

In addition, the new screen also supports pen input, which we presume to be the surface stylus.

Of course, Microsoft still has nothing conclusive about the patent. We will also see how 2018 comes to an end and with the recent launch of peripherals. We do not think the company will announce a new Surface device with this new feature.
