A new leak could reveal that the design of the iPad Pro has been completely redesigned before launch – BGR

While Apple's current iPad Pro tablets have a design that looks a little like a big flattened iPhone, it seems that Apple's new models will present a new design derived from Apple's current iPhones. Of course, the screen does not have a notch because there is still plenty of space around the monitor to hide the TrueDepth camera system that will bring facial identity to Apple's new iPads. But beyond that, the new iPad Pro models seem to have a new design with flat edges all around the perimeter. The Apple iPhone XS and XR series have rounded edges. In fact, Apple has not released a flat-edge mobile device since the 2016 SE iPhone.

The photos that have leaked also show new dimensions of display, which should not be so surprising. Like Apple's new iPhones, iPad Pro 2018 models will drop the main button so screens take up more space. According to these images, the smallest iPad Pro will have an 11-inch screen, against 10.5 inches on the model of last year. The largest iPad Pro is listed as having a 13-inch display, which would be a marginal increase of 12.9 inches on the current model. Both iPads seem to be less than 6mm thick.

If everything goes as planned, Apple will send invitations to the press in the coming days for its October 2018 event. The release date of the new iPad Pro models is unclear, although a launch could still take place before the end of the month.
