A new leak could reveal that the design of the iPad Pro has been completely redesigned before launch – BGR

The biggest Apple launch of the year is behind us now that iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are available in dozens of markets around the world. Of course, the world's largest consumer technology company still has a lot going on this year. The release of the third generation iPhone model, that of 2018, is obviously still before us. Pre-orders for the iPhone XR are expected to open next week, before the release of October 26. However, several new Apple products to be released this year have not been announced yet.

That's right, Apple fans: another Apple event is reserved for us before the 2018 shopping season. It should take place in the next two weeks, and Apple is already full for us. New accessories such as the new generation AirPods and a new Pencil Pencil pencil would make its debut at the event, and we will likely see some updates from the Mac lineup. The stars of the series will probably be Apple's new iPad Pro tablets, and a new leak may have shown us the completely redesigned Apple design before the scheduled date.

Over the years, Apple's iPad lineup has become less and less exciting. IPads are still the best full-size tablets that money can buy, but the category itself has gradually been erased from consumer radars. Smartphone screens are getting bigger every year and full-fledged laptops like Chromebooks have become more compact and affordable than ever before. As a result, fewer people buy pills these days than they were a few years ago.

Of course, "less" is relative. Tens of millions of tablets are still sold every quarter, and iPads are an important part of these sales. If you are currently looking for a new high-end iPad, you must absolutely refrain from pulling the trigger. It has long been said that Apple plans to reorganize its iPad Pro lineup in 2018, and we will finally see the new slates become official in the coming weeks. But you certainly do not have to wait that long to see what Apple has in store.

The above image was published on Slashleaks by a user named "Leakspinner", which has been proven with precision. It would show 3D CAD files from a factory in China that detail the design and dimensions of the next-generation iPad Pro.

While Apple's current iPad Pro tablets have a design that looks a little like a big flattened iPhone, it seems that Apple's new models will present a new design derived from Apple's current iPhones. Of course, the screen does not have a notch because there is still plenty of space around the monitor to hide the TrueDepth camera system that will bring facial identity to Apple's new iPads. But beyond that, the new iPad Pro models seem to have a new design with flat edges all around the perimeter. The Apple iPhone XS and XR series have rounded edges. In fact, Apple has not released a flat-edge mobile device since the 2016 SE iPhone.

The photos that have leaked also show new dimensions of display, which should not be so surprising. Like Apple's new iPhones, iPad Pro 2018 models will drop the main button so screens take up more space. According to these images, the smallest iPad Pro will have an 11-inch screen, against 10.5 inches on the model of last year. The largest iPad Pro is listed as having a 13-inch display, which would be a marginal increase of 12.9 inches on the current model. Both iPads seem to be less than 6mm thick.

If everything goes as planned, Apple will send invitations to the press in the coming days for its October 2018 event. The release date of the new iPad Pro models is unclear, although a launch could still take place before the end of the month.
