A secret text adventure game is hidden in Google. Here's how to play it – TechCrunch

Google love a good Easter egg. Dozens of different eggs are hidden in Google's product portfolio, from using Google Search to launch a coin to exploring Doctor's TARDIS in Google Maps.

Do you think you've seen them all? An apparently new egg has just been discovered: a playable text adventure game hidden in Google Search.

Here's how to play:

    1) Open Google.com in Chrome. (This could work in other browsers, but it was a bit glitchy when I tried it elsewhere.)
    2) Search for "text adventure" without the quotation marks.
    3) Open the Javascript Developer Console by pressing Command + Option + J on Mac, or Ctrl + Shift + J on Windows.
    4) You should see a prompt asking if you want to "play a game?". Type yes and press Enter, and the game will begin!

From there, you'll play as the "big blue G" of the Google logo, looking for your friends, similar alphabets, one command at a time. Do not expect to insert days, it's not Zork. But for a lil 'gag who managed to stay hidden for who-knows-how long in one of the most trafficked websites in the world, it's pretty good.

(Scream to the tent_number_1 editor for being the first to notice.)
