There are only a few days left before Apple finally unveils the 2018 iPhones, we have a new leak that offers us a different naming structure for the three iPhones that Apple is preparing to present. Shortly after Apple's invitation to the mid-September annual press conference, the name of the new 5.8-inch phone was unveiled: the iPhone XS. We then heard that the 6.5-inch version will call iPhone XS Max, while the 6.1-inch LCD has made reference to the iPhone 9 and even the iPhone XR in some reports.
The next image, published first on Weibo, comes from an internal presentation of China Mobile for the upcoming iPhone launch. The three iPhones are listed as iPhone XC (6.1 inches), iPhone XS (5.8 inches) and iPhone XS Plus (6.5 inches).
The document also includes the date of the Apple media event (September 12), as well as the actual release date (September 21). Apple is likely to release pre-orders on Friday, Sept. 14, and launch the phones in stores a week later.
The document also states that the iPhone XS will be available with two SIM cards, depending on 9toMacbut these will be launched after September 21st.
At the bottom of the page, the starting prices of the three models are also listed. We are targeting 5,888 yuan ($ 858) for the iPhone XC, 7,388 yuan ($ 1,076) for the iPhone XS and 8,388 yuan ($ 1,222) for the iPhone XS Plus.
Meanwhile, Ben Geskin, a runaway from the iPhone, said the iPhone XC dummy units we saw a few days ago were not dummy units but "the real deal".
We do not know why he says they're 6.1 inch iPhones rather than dummy units, but we've already covered them last week, and you can read more here.
On Wednesday, we'll be able to give you more details on all of Apple's new products, not just the trio of new, wacky iPhones.
