A new Alien game will soon see the light of day and could be revealed at the Game Awards on December 6th.

During the weekend, it was revealed that 20th Century Fox had asked for a new brand for an unannounced video game called Alien: Blackout.

Twitter accounts for @AlienBlackout and @Alien_Blackout were also created in September, but no one would have noticed it at the time.

The details surrounding the game are currently pretty thin on the ground, but that's where things start to get pretty intriguing.

Fans have somehow (not really sure what) noticed that teasers messages surrounding the next Game Awards seems to use the same "W" font as the one used by the famous Weyland-Yutani Company of the Alien franchise.

The game's reward messaging, for those interested, also repeats the same sentence "Worlds with change" again and again.

It becomes even stranger when you take into account Hideo Kojima, a long time friend of Game Reward Facilitator Geoff Keighley also helped tease something related to Alien.

Less than a week ago, Kojima visited 20th Century Fox, where he tweeted a few images, which were followed soon after by a response from the Game Awards twitter account that simply said "The world will change! "

At this point, it seems pretty clear that this new Alien game will be announced at the awards ceremony on December 6th.

But what kind of game could it be?

The game would be the work of Cold Iron Studios who worked on the game after being bought by 20th Century Fox in 2015.

Previously, the team was known as Cryptic Studios, having worked on several MMOs comprising Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, City of Heroes and City of Villians.

It also seems that since their takeover, it is common knowledge that they are working on a shooting game in Aliens universe for console and PC.

Obviously, the game had flown under the radar, but by that time, the studio had announced "Explore areas of the universe that fans do not have to experiment with."

You may want to temper your expectations, however. according to thesixthaxis.com The website of Cold Iron Studios indicates that it has "only 30 developers".

Which would seem to suggest that this game might not be the AAA budget headline that fans might like to see with something like the Aliens universe and intellectual property.

But who knows, maybe things have changed over time behind the scenes?

You have to think that the game has something special, especially if you consider how strange it may be if a wicked shooter presents himself as the face of the Game Awards promoted by Keighly and Kojima.

Only time will tell. Fortunately, the December 6 Game of the Game Awards (on the 7th in the UK) did not take long.
