There are signs that a new Alien game for PC and consoles is being incubated. Last week, various gaming sites noticed that 20th Century Fox had registered the brand of a video game yet to be announced with the title of Alien: Blackout. This news went well with a theme on Alien Tease Twitter from Game Awards Chef Geoff Keighley.
The Twitter tease is not a no-brainer. Keighley tweeted about the Game Awards on Thursday 6th December, shared text and graphic explaining "THE WORLDS WILL CHANGE". Other Twitter users noted that the perverse society that sought to take advantage of Xenomorphs in movies, Weyland-Yutani, used the same font as Keighley's graphic message and a similar strapline; "BUILD BETTER WORLDS".
Adding essence to the above, the famous game developer Hideo Kojima posted pictures of his visit to Fox Studios, posing beside exotic souvenirs. The official account of the Game Awards tweeted in response that "THE WORLDS WILL CHANGE".
Earlier in the day, EuroGamer shared their thoughts on the development of the new Alien game. The game magazine believes that the upcoming game will be developed by an American studio called Cold Iron, purchased by FoxNext, a subsidiary of 20th Century Fox, and founded by former members of Cryptic Studios (Neverwinter, City of Heroes) a few days ago. years.
If you visit the Cold Iron Studios website, you'll see the landing page is titled. "we hire" and one of the photos of the carousel banner shows a photo of the alien drawn to the head and shoulders. A small text on this same page confirms that the studios based in San José are "Work on a new console and PC shooter based on the Alien franchise". EuroGamer also notes that in early 2018, FoxNext's studio president, Aaron Loeb, had stated that his company was delighted to work with Cold Iron. "while they create a persistent world full of action, imbued with the mysteries of this beloved extraterrestrial universe".
The Game Awards are about to start on the 6thth Dec, but because of the time differences, it will probably be 7th here in the UK when all the Alien news is published.
