All that Apple has not announced at the event of today

Apple staged a second hardware-focused fall event this morning in New York City, during which the company launched updated iPad Pro models, an updated MacBook Air, and a new Mac mini.

Prior to the event, however, there were rumors suggesting that we would also see other products that are not showing up.

Rumors suggest that Apple was working on updated iMac models with new processors but it does not look like the iMac the range is going to have a 2018 refresh at this point.

There was not much detail on what to expect from a new iMacMing-Chi Kuo, an analyst at Apple, said Apple was working on a version with an upgraded processor and a "significant upgrade in display performance."

Without new iMac making an appearance at the event of today, we do not know when we will see an updated version.

Before today's event, there was a lot of confusion about a low-cost laptop, which turned out to be a Macbook Air. It was not clear if the device would be in the Macbook Air or the MacBook family for good reason – it was said that it was a 13-inch machine with a Macbook Air design style, a lower price and a Retina display.

These options have proven true, and the new Macbook Air is thinner with thinner packages, faster processor, built-in Touch ID and Retina display, this feature differentiated Macbook Air from the 12 inches MacBook.

Now that this new $ 1,199 Macbook Air with 8th generation Intel processors, Touch IDA T2 chip and a thinner chassis exist, which Apple plans to do with the 12-inch is not entirely clear. MacBook range, which starts at just $ 100 more.

There were rumors the 12 inches MacBook the range would be also to be updated at the event today, but it has not been refreshed.

Is this the end of MacBook? It's unclear what Apple has in store for its finest and lightest machine, nor when it could see an update. With faster 8th generation processors and a Retina display in the new Macbook Air, the only true distinguishing trait between MacBook and the Macbook Air is the MacBookis smaller.

Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said just before the Apple event that a new iPad mini is under construction, but he did not know if this would be included in the October 30 product unveiling. In fact, this was not the case, and if a new iPad mini is in development, we do not know when we will see it launch.

There was some speculation that Apple could still debut the AirPower Charging Mat and compatible AirPods at its October event, but that did not happen.

We do not know when we can expect to see the launch of AirPower, if it is still under construction, or when Apple will launch an update AirPods. At this point, it seems that these products may not be seen until 2019.

We were hoping to get a glimpse of Apple's work on its upscale high-end modular system. Mac Pro Apple is in development for release in 2019, but it looks like we will have a longer wait before having a first glimpse of Apple's pro-centric machine.

Missing iPhone XR cases and iPad Smart covers

We still do not know why Apple did not introduce a case for the iPhone XR, especially after mentioning special clear cases for the device in iPhone XR press release in some countries, but after the event of today, there is still no sign of Apple design iPhone XR case.

Apple has not introduced the new Smart Covers for its 11 and 12.9-inch updates iPad Pro models, but there are new Smart Folio options and the new Smart Keyboard Folio.
