Below we have all the details you need to know about when exactly you can play. At the time of writing these lines, the next test will take place on October 28 (October 29 for some regions), again only on Xbox One. Bethesda has also confirmed the first dates and times that will be open to PS4 and PC players. Read on for the full schedule.

The first test of Fallout 76 was only available on Xbox One during a four-hour window on October 23rd. It has since passed, Bethesda saying it was an "unbelievable start". Additional test periods will continue to be available for a limited time. The purpose of this operation is to force players together at a specific time to perform resistance tests and put the game to the test. Sessions typically last between 4 and 8 hours in a given day, then the beta will be unusable again until the next session. The process will be repeated by the game release date, November 14th.

Beta code is available for anyone who has pre-ordered the game on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. Preloading is only available on Xbox One at this time, as beta versions for PC and PS4 will begin on October 30th. receive a code with your physical pre-order to enter the accounts page, or you will automatically be entered into the pool if you pre-order a digital copy. Note that these codes do not grant you access. Instead, they put you in the potential pool of players to get a distribution code later, since Bethesda is launching wave invitations.
