The Pokemon company feeds us dizzily on the new species of Pokemon Meltan in recent weeks, but it seems that the mystery is finally solved. In a video update, Professors Willow and Oak confirmed that, as previously suggested, Meltan is the first mythical Pokémon able to evolve.
On the evolved creature's updated page, it is revealed that Melmetal has not been seen for 3,000 years. Unlike Little Meltan, he weighs nearly 1,800 pounds and is over eight feet tall. Despite its size, its liquid metal body is incredibly flexible, allowing it to tie its arms to hit its opponents.
"Melmetal has a unique steel-type physical movement called Double Iron Bash," according to the updated page. "With this powerful gesture, Melmetal uses the hexagonal nut in his chest like an axle to pivot his strong arms and inflict a double strike on his opponent. The weight of the heavy hex nuts on his arms, combined with this rotational movement, gives this movement an extraordinary power. Once hit, the target can even jump! "
A screenshot of the creature moving from Meltan to Melmetal in Pokemon Go shows that coaches will need 400 candies of the creature to be able to evolve. Anyone who has developed a Magikarp or Swablu must be familiar with this requirement. Not only will you get Meltan candies after catching them, you'll send them to Willow, or get one like a Pokemon friend, but you'll also get candy when you transfer a Meltan from Pokemon Go at Pokemon: let's go, Pikachu! and Let's go, Eevee! Using rare candies is always an option.
Unfortunately, we will have to wait a little longer before we can get our own Melmetal, because Meltan will only become widely available again when the Pokemon: let's go Switch games are launched on November 16th.
