Amazon leak reveals Echo subwoofer and upcoming smart plug

Amazon seems to have leaked some upcoming products on its UK website. Pocket pocket spotted ads for two new Alexa items, a smart plug and a subwoofer, which appear to be on sale soon.

The subwoofer is by far the most interesting of the two. It's called Echo Sub, and can be paired with one or two other Echos to improve their sound quality. If you place two Echoes in a room with the Echo Sub, the list of leaks indicates that you can even turn them into a 2.1 stereo system, with the standard Echos acting as left and right channels, which does not make any difference. is not currently possible. . This would help Echo catch up with the HomePod, which already offers stereo pairing, although I doubt the utility of buying multiple Echos for the same room to create a speaker system.

The other element, the Amazon Smart Plug, looks like a standard smart plug, able to cut off power to anything connected to it. Using the Alexa app, homeowners will be able to schedule routines so they can turn on and off a lamp at certain times. The catch seems quite large, but it also seems that the design can be specific to European outlets.

Amazon would apparently have the Smart Plug listed at £ 95 (around $ 125 USD), which is almost certainly incorrect – these devices usually go closer to $ 25. The Echo Sub was also quoted at £ 75 (about USD 99), which seems plausible; but given the fact that the other seems to be the opposite, it certainly should not be taken as a fact.

Pocket pocket said that the release date of the two articles was October 11, which means we should know more soon. And certainly, it seems that Amazon's new material is imminent. CNBC Yesterday reported that a microwave device, an embedded device and other devices equipped with Alexa were in preparation, with more than eight new devices launched this year.
