Android P Developer Preview 4 deployed on Pixel and Pixel 2

Just over three weeks after the previous update, Google today deploys Android P Developer Preview 4. This candidate release includes final APIs and near-final system images allowing developers to continue testing Application compatibility

According to Dave Burke VP of Android Engineering, DP4 (Beta 3) is "very close to what you will see in the final version of Android P, which is due to arrive later this summer . "

Android P Beta 3 includes latest bugfixes and optimizations for stability and polishing, along with the security updates of July 2018. This is a great way to test your apps right now for s & # 39; ensure that they are ready before the final version.

Earlier versions and beta's added AI-powered smart features such as Adaptive Battery and Brightness, Recents Recce and Navigation System with new gestures. Settings, and more. Release notes for Beta 3 are available here

Compared to last year, there will be one more version after DP4 that will officially serve as "Candidate Version for Final Testing". It will arrive after July, but before the final. Q3 version to AOSP and OEMs.

The Android P DP4 system images are available for Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, with those on the Android beta program receiving an update notification shortly.
