New Super Mario Bros. U, initially released on Wii U, arrives on Switch under the name of New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. During the last Nintendo Direct, it was confirmed that four people will play together as with the original. Some new characters are however playable for the Switch version: Toadette and Nabbit.

Toadette joins the fun with the ability to turn into Peachette and float around the stages. In total, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe will have a course of 164 courses to go. This version will also include the New Super Luigi U expansion. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch from January 11, 2019.

New Super Mario Bros. U was launched for the Wii U in 2012 and was well received. "New Super Mario Bros. U is not a game that carries many risks, or even the best Mario title in 2D, but it's certainly a competitor," said Peter Brown of GameSpot.

"It's always charming, often difficult and an excellent illustration of what makes Mario games so special." Nintendo has apparently taken over traditional distilled platforms, but has also brought new attention to gaming trends and expectations modern, Mario's best moments, and it's the perfect way to launch Nintendo's HD journey. "

The game received a 8.5 / 10. You can read more about the game and our review by reading the entire magazine New Super Mario Bros. During the Nintendo Direct, a new entry into Luigi's mansion was also unveiled, but there was little detail about it. All we know is that "Luigi's Mansion 3" is not definitive and that it will be available on Nintendo Switch in 2019.
