Just yesterday, Final Cut 10.4.4 was released with features that publishers have been hoping for a long time. The highlight of the update is support for third-party workflow extensions, allowing for increased productivity and new ways of working in Final Cut Pro.

Apple's first three partners, which were starting with the launch extensions, Frame.io, Shutterstock and CatDV, were all in an interactive space where summit participants could see the new software in action. Several Final Cut Pro extensions can be used simultaneously and many, such as Frame.io, can be used seamlessly alongside iOS applications and web applications built with extensions.

To showcase other new features in Final Cut Pro, such as the new Comparison Viewer, Floating Timecode Window, and Noise Reduction, Apple's video crews shot and edited a movie about the theme. automobile. The timeline of the movie ran on iMac Pros, a stack of new gray space minicomputers, and MacBook Pro updated with Radeon Pro Vega graphics.

The film "Lowrider" was shot with, among others, the Canon EOS C300 and Atomos Shogun Inferno. Both hardware elements were present, displaying the clips used in the final video.

Connected to a MacBook Pro and a new Mac mini, the new Blackmagic eGPU Pro, launched with the new Apple hardware last October. Featuring DisplayPort connectivity and accelerated performance over its predecessor, the eGPU has been configured to handle rendering tasks in Final Cut Pro 10.4.4. The tiny Motion 5.4.2 planet filter was also featured on footage samples.

Finally, Apple introduced the 64-bit Compressor and batch rendering engine using new minicomputers connected together and a LumaForge Jellyfish server to simultaneously render multiple formats of a project. LumaForge and Atomos, already mentioned, were the sponsors of the summit.
