Apple records three new desktop Macs in the Eurasian database before the Oct. 30 event

The Eurasian database has recently been affected. Once again, before the event organized by Apple on October 30, the Eurasian Economic Competition Database cataloged repositories of new Mac models running macOS 10.14. Four of these model identifiers relate to machines not yet announced. As noted by Consomac, the notebook model A1932 was seen in a previous filing.

The three new Mac models are probably related to the new versions of Mac Mini and iMac. We expect a significant update to the specifications of the Mac Mini, which did not catch the eye in 1469 days, and at least the processor hits the rest of the Mac lineup.

Ming-Chi Kuo yesterday reiterated his beliefs about what to expect from the October event. He predicts minor updates to the MacBook, iMac, and Mac Mini with minimal redesign of the external chassis and a brand new low-cost Apple notebook model, which will likely replace the MacBook Air.

The new inexpensive laptop is still mysterious with the rumor that exactly divides the product and its price. We are forecasting a 13-inch Retina display with a similar design to the current 12-inch MacBook, but probably not as thin as possible for cost reasons.

The updates for Mac are obviously welcome, but the star of the series should be the updates for iPad. The 9.7-inch basic iPad was refreshed in early spring. This event is therefore focused on the modernization of the iPad Pro. The Pro will be available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes with a new design, slim body, no Home button and face recognition.

The tablets will not feature any notch, but the frames will be just thick enough to incorporate the TrueDepth Face ID camera system. This still represents a dramatic shrinkage of the glasses, compared to current models, which significantly increases the ratio of screen / body iPad. The smart connector seems to be moved to the back of the device. We think that the Lightning port has been replaced by a USB-C port and that there could be a new magnetic attachment to hold the Apple pencil. Kuo even mentioned the possibility of an upcoming minor update for iPad mini.

The Eurasian repository describes the new Mac desktops as "Apple personal computers" running macOS 10.14, with model identifiers A1993, A2115, and A2116. 9to5Mac will of course cover all announcements next week, so stay tuned for the latest news.
