Apple today publishes iOS 12.0.1, the first official update of the iOS 12 operating system. IOS 12.0.1 arrives three weeks after Apple has released iOS 12.

The update will be available on all eligible devices in radio link in the application Settings. To access the update, go to Settings -> General -> Software Update. IOS 12 users should be able to download iOS 12.0.1 when it is released at 10:00 PM Pacific Time.

Today's update fixes several high-level bugs that were affecting users of iOS 12. It solves a problem that could prevent some iPhone XS devices from recharging when connected to a Lightning cable, a problem discovered shortly after the release of iOS 12.

Reports have suggested that multiple iOS 12 devices were affected rather than just the iPhone XS. It is likely that if other devices are affected, the new update fixes the problem.

iOS 12.0.1 also fixes a major Wi-Fi bug that could cause some iPhone XS devices to prefer to connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network rather than a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, resulting in a slower Wi-Fi connection speed. After this update, many users stranded with their phone connected to a 2.4 GHz network should benefit from a much faster Wi-Fi connection speed because devices prefer again a 5 GHz network.

Among the other fixes of this update, let us quote the reorientation of the numerical key "123" on the iPad, which was moved in the update iOS 12 and permuted with the key emoji / language, solution brought to a problem that could prevent the display of subtitles in subtitles. some video applications, and a problem where Bluetooth might become unavailable.

Many of these bugs have also been fixed in the next iOS 12.1 update, which is currently being beta tested by developers and public testers.
