Apple today launched the second beta release of a new iOS 12.1.1 developer update, a week after the release of the first beta and a little more than a week later the release of iOS 12.1, a major update bringing several new features to iOS.

Registered developers can download the new iOS 12.1.1 beta from the Apple Developer Center or over the air link once the appropriate configuration profile has been installed from the Developer Center.

the iOS 12.1.1 update reintroduces the feature that allows you to take a live photo during a FaceTime call and makes improvements to the FaceTime user interface.

Following the update, FaceTime introduces a reworked lower bar with quick access buttons to mute a call and flip the camera. Dragging up on the bottom bar opens additional options with the participants in the conversation. Previously, FaceTime users had to tap three points to access a secondary menu with these features.

iOS 12.1.1 also adds a new option in Apple News to hide the sidebar of the iPad when using the application in Landscape mode, an option to disable the physical SIM card from the Device for the eSIM and adjust the Apple Watch application icon so that it looks like the Apple Watch Series 4.

Update: Apple has made a new beta of iOS 12.1.1 available for public beta testers.
