In the last hour, we've heard a number of readers say that Apple's stores were having trouble picking up store bookings for the new iPhone and Apple Watch models. Several customers were told that there was a "global" problem affecting Apple's systems and we heard that there were long queues as the customers were waiting for the issues to be resolved.

Some clients would have been asked to cancel their existing bookings and make purchases by appointment from available stocks, while others are simply asked to wait for staff members to discuss how to deal with the situation.
We will update this post if we hear more about the situation, but if you have an upcoming pickup window, you may want to prepare for some delays.
Update: Apple systems seem to come back online and bookings are being processed. However, there is still a backlog of clients to deal with.
