The activity of Apple tablets may not be as dominant as before, but that does not mean that the flagship series of the iPad Pro will be neglected this year. The reports and leaks on the next tablets indicate heavily redesigned peripherals, from a completely redesigned frame and a screen without a bezel that is simply sensational.
The tech giant based in Cupertino has already unveiled an iPad at the beginning of the year, although this device was aimed mainly at novice users. For advanced users who appreciate portability, a touch interface and raw power, the iPad Pro Series is ideal. Apple currently offers two sizes for the iPad Pro, a large 12.9-inch model and a 10.5-inch variant with a thinner frame than the first-generation iPad.
As noted in a CultofMac report, this year would probably see a huge overhaul of the iPad Pro series. Among them, thinner glasses and a frame a little more boxer than the outgoing models. Perhaps most noteworthy are reports that Apple would put its Home button on its device, replacing it with a face recognition sensor. The first signs of the iconic button's release came after a code was discovered in iOS 12. Like iPhones, the 2018 iPad Pro will probably give up headphone jacks, spelling out a new line of Apple products. It's worth noting that this year's iPad Pros Smart Connector seems to be installed just above the Lightning port, suggesting that the device will probably be in Portrait mode most of the time.

Given their design without bezel, there is a good chance that the iPad Pro 2018 have a slightly smaller frame than their predecessors. This has been particularly emphasized in rumors claiming that this year's iPad Pros would be a bit smaller than last year's. Those who have accessories for older iPad Pro do not have to worry because speculation is high that the 2018 devices would be fully compatible with the accessories that were released for the first and second generation pros.
As noted in a CNBC report, the iPad Pros would likely be equipped with Apple's A12X processor, which is expected to deliver much faster performance to the tablet despite significantly lower power consumption. Other specifications, such as the 4GB RAM of the device, will likely remain the same. Apart from that, rumors also suggest the addition of fast charging for the flagship tablet. So far, the Apple iPad Pro 2017 already supports 18W chargers, but the company only ships them with a 12W charger. Rumor has it that this may not be the case this year.
