The news has probably stolen much of the thunder of AppleAnnual launch of the launch of fall products scheduled for next Wednesday. But there are still several great unknowns, including the names and prices of new iPhones to unveil.

Media and analysts expect the tech giant to present three 12th generation iPhones at the event, to be held at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California. They provide an updated version of the iPhone model and a 6.1-inch LCD handset.
Most Apple observers believe that this is an "S" year for the iPhone, which means that incremental updates are being made to the handset range. Starting from its third-generation model in 2009, Apple has added an "S" to the names of iPhones every two years. But last year, Apple moved away from the iPhone 7 when switching to the iPhone 7. It also added the flagship product of the iPhone X, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone.
The consensus among analysts and the tech press is that the company will call its new flagship model the iPhone XS. This has led to jokes on social networks that this will be pronounced "in excess" and that the abbreviation also means "extra small".
These comments assume that Apple will retroactively change what the X means in the iPhone X. Its proper name is "ten", as in the Roman numeral, and not "ex", although some consumers do not. still call "ex".
The name of the large-screen OLED iPhone would be the iPhone XS Plus. Some reports say that this could be the iPhone XS Max.
The widescreen LCD handset could call the iPhone 9. But some have suggested that it could be the iPhone XC, with the C representing the color as it would supposedly come in a range of colors from case.
Uncertainty around prices for new iPhones
The pricing of new iPhones is also the subject of debate. Several analysts have increased their price estimates for handsets. They suggest that Apple will use higher prices to maintain its profit margins and exploit its high-end brand reputation.
Apple's current iPhone X is its most expensive model to date, starting at $ 999.
The price of the iPhone is the biggest unknown before the launch event of the product, says Chris Caso, analyst at Raymond James.
"With three phones launched this year – and the Plus version representing a new price point – there is more uncertainty than usual," he said in a note to his customers on Friday. "At the end of the day, we think sales of the Plus model will be the most important variable that will determine whether Apple will exceed or miss the estimates, because of the expected high price of this model."
He thinks the company will keep prices unchanged for the iPhone XS compared to the current iPhone X. Caso is charging $ 149 more for the base version of the Plus model.
Price-Target Hikes for Apple Stock
Elsewhere on Wall Street, Michael Olson, a Piper Jaffray analyst, raised his price target on Apple's stock to 250 from 218. He kept his overweight position. Apple's shares fell 0.8% to 221.30 on the stock market today.
He thinks the new iPhones will lead to higher demand than expected. Olson predicted that Apple will sell 223 million iPhones during the 2019 fiscal year, which will begin Sept. 30. This compares with the consensus estimate of 219 million units.
Morgan Stanley's analyst, Rod Hall, has raised his target price of Apple's shares to 240 against 200. But he has kept his rating neutral in matters of valuation.
Analysts also expect Apple to launch its fourth generation smartwatch during the event. Rumors indicate that the Apple Watch Series 4 will display 15% larger screens and improved detection of heart rate. Other rumors evoke the event: second-generation AirPods wireless headphones, as well as new iPad tablets and Mac computers.
