Apple's September 2018 iPhone event: live coverage

It's here: the iPhone Day 2018. It's a little iPhone Day 2017 but with about 50% less enthusiasm.

Last year, after three years with the same iPhone design, we had the iPhone X with an all-screen design, face recognition and an improved camera system. Oh, wait, Animoji.

This year seems to be all about progressive improvements to this marquee design and features. It is said that there will be a larger iPhone X (the iPhone X Max?) And a more affordable version of the X with an LCD.

What interests me the most, however, is how Apple is doing the fundamentals of the X. A year later, I still want my iPhone X review: it's a fabulous smartphone. That said, Apple could still improve the situation by dealing with my main remaining complaints:

1) Battery life. A day of heavy use, I must always pay noon.

2) Durability. My screen cracked last week. Yeah, good timing.

3) Identity of the face. 8 times out of 10 Face ID is faster than the fingerprint sensor but not when lying in bed, in intense light or with a certain pair of sunglasses.
