An update of the beta "Artifact" addressing concerns about gambling monetization and card distribution was announced by Valve on Sunday.
In response to "an overwhelming amount of commentary on all parts of the game," Valve made changes to the digital collectible card game, some of which are already active since the release of the public beta on Sunday.
After Valve lifted his NES for the private beta, many players criticized the game's payment model, including how players spend event tickets for training at draft nodes. . In response to these comments, Valve changed its current policy in the current public beta.
"Writing is incredibly fun, but can be very intimidating," says the update. "We agree that it is important to have a way to practice before venturing into a more competitive mode. In the next beta release of 'Artifact' anyone who has claimed their original content will find a Casual Phantom Draft gauntlet available in the Casual Games section. "
Another change to the public beta is that players can now participate in editorial events with friends by selecting the ghost draft Call to Arms "in any tournament created by the user."
A third change, which has not yet taken place, concerns the feeling of the players that the duplicate of the starting heroes issued in cardboards would be a waste. To remedy this, Valve will add a system allowing players to recycle their unwanted cards in turn to obtain event tickets. Valve notes that this feature will be added sometime before the conclusion of the beta period.
"Artifact" will be available on Steam on November 28 for $ 19.99 for PC, Mac and Linux.
