Ask Siri for information about Donald Trump shows an explicit image after Wikipedia modification

Siri does not seem to like Donald Trump too much.

At least the virtual assistant did not participate in Thanksgiving, so while he was asking questions about the president, he was showing an image of a penis instead.

The error seems to result from the fact that someone has edited Mr Trump's Wikipedia page and inserted the image. This meant that it had worked when Siri had consulted the article to show more information, showing the explicit picture to the large number of people who were using the voice assistant on their iPhone.

Apple uses Wikipedia to answer a wide range of questions when addressed to Siri. It allows them to know public figures and other remarkable pieces of knowledge, and to allow people to ask how much age or size a person has, for example.

However, anyone who wanted to know how old Donald Trump was during Thanksgiving had received something they did not expect at all when the picture came out.

Donald Trump's Wikipedia page – like those of other controversial personalities – is protected, which means that it can not be changed by anyone. The change history is visible on the page itself, and the many people who made the change are now banned, said an editor at The Verge newspaper.

This is not the first time that Wikipedia has been used for voice assistants like Siri to read questionable information. Last year, when Burger King launched a campaign that forced Google Home assistants to start talking, someone changed the Wikipedia page of Whopper to indicate that the burger contains " cyanide "and that it's" the worst product for hamburger "ever created.

And this is not the first time Siri has made an embarrassing mistake in answering questions. Last month, he seemed to be convinced that the Bulgarian national anthem was Despacito – a problem whose explanation had not been so clear and whose reason is unclear.
