Beats headphones get new colors to match the iPhone XS and XR

Every few months, Apple updates the range of Beats headphones with new color options. We receive another one, with colors that match Apple's new phones, the iPhone XS and the XR.

Three new colors arrive at urBeats3. They now come in yellow, blue and coral to match some (but not all) XR colors of the iPhone.

The urBeats3 are rather traditional in-ear headphones, but they end with a Lightning cable, which allows them to connect directly to phones like the iPhone XR, which do not have a headphone jack. They cost $ 60, which is a bit expensive for realistically pretty headphones. But this is the price to pay to find yourself in the ecosystem of Apple accessories.

The Beats' Solo 3 Wireless are also supposed to get two new color options, "satin gold" and "satin silver", but none of them are so new. In fact, I really can not say what is different between these colors and the existing versions "matte gold" and "matte silver". Maybe they're brighter? I've compared the photos and I really can not say what has changed.

The new urBeats colors come out later this fall – it seems reasonable to think that this will probably happen at the end of the XR at the end of October. Solo 3 colors are available immediately. They are supposed to sell for $ 300, but that's absolutely not true; The Solo 3 is almost always on sale for around $ 200, a much more appropriate price.

Apple announced a bunch of new products today, but there was not a single mention of Beats on stage during the event. The product line of the headphone company has changed little in the past two years, these regular color changes being the only type of new product you can expect. As my colleague Micah Singleton said yesterday, "Apple could be thought to have spent billions of dollars more for its engineering team that helped create Apple Music and some periodically repainted headphones.
