Todd Howard of Bethesda showed some gameplay sequences for the upcoming mobile game Elder Scrolls: Blades at the Apple iPhone Xs event today.

The game, which is a first-person action RPG designed for touch screens, is certainly gorgeous for a mobile title.

Here is Howard who sets the tone of elevator while the game is playing in the background:

"It's not only immersive, it transports you," Howard told the audience. "Previously, scenes like this one were only possible in your living room, on a high-end console." Or PC, as the case may be.

blades certainly looks like a decent mobile game, but I have to admit I'm not really in the process of Skyrim: mobile edition. It's been 7 years since Skyrim Launched since, it has since been reissued on many modern consoles, including PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and on the reissue of PC. We are all Skyrimed to death at this stage, and while blades is a new game this is not exactly the new game Old parchments the fans have claimed.

A new one in its own right Old parchments the game is nowhere in sight. This has been suggested. Its existence as a future project has been confirmed. But we have neither name nor parameter nor details. This is due in part to the fact that Bethesda focuses on other games while keeping the brand alive through the aforementioned reissues as well as the MMO. Elder Scrolls Online produced by Zenimax.

I understand why Bethesda wants to put this series on mobile. Even Nintendo is wooing mobile gamers at this point, and a successful mobile game could get players there to turn to the main series on PC and console.

But it's still disheartening for fans of the series that after 7 long years, the best we've got is a moving title. If you'd told me in 2011 that Todd Howard would be on stage at an Apple event Old parchments game on the latest iPhone I would have said something in the style of "Well, the touch screen is going to be a terribly limiting and boring way of playing a game like this" but hey. This is not like Skyrim had a very good fight to start, so maybe blades will not be so disappointing. (Speaking of which, can we please get Dishonored combat carried out, in one form, on the other Old parchments Thu?)

In any case, blades releases this fall. blades mix RPG's fantastic action-action gameplay with city building while you restore your hometown to its former glory. The way the free game revenue model can work can make or break the game, so hope Bethesda is not too greedy with horse armor.

There is also multi-platform PvP, once this game is live on non-mobile devices such as PCs and consoles, these players will be able to play against Android and iOS players. to the Fortnite: Battle Royale.

"You may have fought dragons in Skyrim, but you have never experienced older scrolls like this one and on your phone," Howard concluded. The iPhone Xs will be launched on September 21st and it seems very likely that it will be launched in parallel or soon after.
