Bethesda responds to BETA 76 BETA feedback before release of final version next week

In an article published today on the official subreddit of Fallout 76, Bethesda Game Studios addressed some of the biggest concerns of the Fallout 76 community regarding the current state of the game.

Although the general response to Bethesda's message was appreciated, the responses provided only scratched the surface of some of the many reported problems and offered no very concrete solutions.

Here is the list of what Bethesda has promised "at the time of launch or near launch" and / or what they plan to do to address "post-launch":

  • Ultra wide support: We will support 21: 9 after launch. Once available or shortly before, we'll be sure to publish our patch notes to let you know when.

  • Largest cache size: We have seen this one happen a lot and understand the frustration. Although the size of the reserve at a weight limit of 400 may be easier to manage over time, we plan to increase it in the future.

  • Push-to-Talk: Although our goal is to create a consistent experience regardless of the platform you are on, we understand that some of you on PC would like to be able to use the Push-to-Talk feature. Our goal with default voice chat is to emphasize that the world is animated by real people, other players like you. We like to start by encouraging interaction between players and we will explore the possibility of adding it in the future.

  • FOV Slider: We did not support FOV sliders in our previous games because it is known to break a lot of animations and cause a lot of cuts on the screen. You can zoom out in the third person on PC by holding View and moving the wheel, but we will not be able to have it in the first person.

  • Exploits of different types: Many reported exploits have been known and will be treated in an upcoming update.

  • Problems with the social menu and invite friends / make teams / etc .: Those who have had problems with social components will find that many of these problems have been solved. We will continue to solve problems as soon as they occur, so let us know when you meet them.

  • Hunger is not satiated: Some said that their "anti-hunger bar" would not be replenished, no matter how much they ate or got rid of all the diseases they had. This issue has been resolved and will be updated in the future to prevent hungry residents from living.

  • Shot of fire / noises: The issue of players hearing random shots / loud sounds in the Appalachians will be dealt with in an upcoming update at the launch's approach.

This list discusses all the Fallout 76 BETA issues mentioned in our article on the subject, except for the problem of posting your display name linked to your Gamertag / Bethesda.net account.

However, the solution to the push-to-talk dilemma seems to be "we like it that way" and the size of the Stash Box does not seem to be unlimited. We will see what the final version will bring next week.

You will find Bethesda's message in the Fallout 76 subfolder here.

Fallout 76 should be released on the PS4, Xbox One and the computer on November 14th.
