Black Friday is best known for cheap TV offers, but what if the TV you already have just needs some help getting into the Internet age? Well, good news. Companies that sell TV media also play discount dance Black Friday, which means you'll have a lot to do for savvy shoppers.
Update: Offers and availability confirmed Friday, November 23 at 10:55 am Eastern Time.
Streamers are small sticks, dongles and boxes that connect to your current TV and stream the latest and greatest TV shows, movies and videos from Netflix, YouTube, Hulu and thousands of other apps. They are ashamed of most smart TVs, especially those over two years old. All you need to provide is a Wi-Fi connection and maybe the monthly subscription fee for some of the individual streaming services that you will have access to.
For Black Friday 2018, streamers are cheaper than ever, starting at just $ 20. It's less than three months of Netflix. And the banners of the biggest names in the industry, including Roku, Chromecast and Fire TV, are on sale at more than one retailer.
Just keep in mind:
- The offers below are up to date at Friday, November 23and include Walmart, Amazon, Best buy and other major retailers.
- CNET may obtain a share of the proceeds from the sale of the products presented on this page.
OK, let's do this thing!
Google Chromecast (2018), $ 25 ($ 10 savings)
Sarah Tew / CNET
The Google-centric phone-centric streamer is perfect for YouTube lovers or Google Home speaker users, but the lack of a remote control limits its appeal to everyone.
Now available at many large retailers, with the exception of Amazon.

Fire Fire USB Stick with Alexa Voice Remote, $ 25 ($ 15 savings)
Sarah Tew / CNET
It's not as good as Roku in our book, but it's better than Chromecast at the same price. If you are a fan of Alexa or are interested in Amazon's ecosystem anyway, this price is almost too good to pass.
This offer is available now at several major retailers, including Amazon.

Roku SE: $ 20
Roku
This product is exclusive to Walmart, but if you play Black Friday anyway, you may as well acquire it by impulse. Roku tells us that the SE is fundamentally identical to the $ 35 Roku Express ("see information report below)", which is "perfectly adequate", although the focus is more on the Vudu service belonging to Walmart. And it's white.
Unfortunately, SE Roku is only available in store at Walmart on Black Friday, November 23, until stocks are exhausted.
