Treyarch acknowledged that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Players encounter difficulties with the Blackout's Quads mode and declare that they are working to solve the problems.
Like other variants of Battle Royale, Blackout offers several types of games that allow a different number of players to be in a team. Players can play alone, with a partner or with three others in Quads mode, this one being the most (until now) possible, of a team. This has not always worked steadily, especially on the Xbox One, but Treyarch says it is striving to find the root of the problem.
"We continue to investigate occasional performance issues in Blackout Quads playlists, especially on Xbox One," Treyarch said in an update released Tuesday by the community. "As we mentioned earlier, although this did not prove to be easy to duplicate during testing, we are committed to finding the cause and reducing it to nothing."

The complaints about the Xbox One Quads mode were numerous, as the players asked Treyarch to take notice of the problem. Among the symptoms reported by Xbox One players in Blackout mode, some problems were also reported in the beta version of Blackout, which took place a month before the release of the game, according to the players. Neither the PlayStation 4 nor the PC platform seem to encounter as many problems as those of the Xbox One.
The community update also included plans to improve the sound in Blackout, another issue raised by gamers since the game's release. Steps in particular have been problematic for some, with the awareness benefit that has magnified the problem and deafening steps without being able to actually locate a person, although these steps were not specifically mentioned in the Treyarch community update. The developer, however, has announced plans to release an audio update next week.
"We are performing several audio updates in Blackout based on our tests and comments from the community, to create the soundscape our players expect from Blackout," said Treyarch. "Look for this update in the next week."
