Black Ops 4 servers have been upgraded after the update – but there is a problem

After updating the game of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 of October 23, it seems that the sending speed of the server has been increased, but it is still not what it was in the multiplayer beta .

When the multiplayer beta came in August, fans praised it for its fast, fluid and responsive gameplay, which seemed tight.

However, as soon as the game was fully released, the players quickly noticed that the responsiveness was not the same, as the bullets slipped on the enemy, the advantage on the corner was obvious and the number of victims was rise.

After a thorough investigation, fans discovered that the server send rate (the rate at which updates are sent from the server to the client) was reduced to about 20 Hz, compared to about 60 during the beta.

Unsurprisingly, many players were furious, who turned to social media, YouTube and Reddit to criticize Treyarch for their mediocre network, but the developers responded that this had been done to ensure a smooth launch period.

On October 23, Treyarch released a new update with what they termed as "first phase of planned changes to the network configuration in targeted locations". After some tests, it appears that the sending rate of the server has been increased to 30Hz.

These data come specifically from a Reddit user on the east coast of the United States and, since Treyarch announced that they were broadcasting them in "targeted locations", they might not be the same everywhere in the US. world.

It's certainly a step in the right direction, but fans hope to see the mailing rate increase even more as we move away from the launch period.

But for those who hope that there will be a sudden jump to 60Hz, you can pretty much rule that out, as Treyarch said in his update:

"It's important to deploy updates according to a carefully planned process, because changes to the network infrastructure can potentially produce both positive and negative effects, and we need to monitor every update of near."

Since the launch, they have updated the game every two or three days, with many bugfixes, the addition of Black Market, new game modes, and so on.
