Blizzard develops more PVE events and reports for Overwatch

My name is McCree, let me now tell you how I got this name …

When I sat down with Jeff Kaplan to talk to him about OverwatchThe beta version of Beta (which looks like the one from centuries ago) is one of the first things I asked him about how his team intended to incorporate content. He clearly indicated that the multiplayer mode was at the heart of the concerns, but over time, they would continue to meddle with the storyline and other modes: a practice they seem to want to pursue.

Since its launch, we've hosted a variety of events, including a Halloween inspired horde, story-centric missions (Insurrection and Retribution), and other types of zany games like a Meis team vs. a Winston Yeti. Blizzard. Addressing VG247, Geoff Goodman, lead designer of the heroes, said the reactions are clear: people want more things like that. Goodman said the response had been "unbelievable" with many hours of play, noting that they "pursued more," to calm the "hunger" of fans and discover the underlying world of Overwatch.

Although I still enjoy Overwatch really, I think the time has come to simply incorporate some of these missions into the main game instead of making us wait for annual rates. There is enough fleshy content well received here to be placed under a banner "campaign" in the main menu: and this might have already been implemented if the skins were not so closely related to these events .

There is priority here Dota 2 has introduced a campaign (which lives in arcade mode) although many other studios, such as Riot, periodically modify and exhaust their events to peddle in the same way skins of limited duration.

More events and PvE for Overwatch? "It's something we're pursuing," says Blizzard. [VG247]
